I have always had an interest in wellbeing and a few years ago I had the opportunity to follow my passion and to re-train as a massage therapist, qualifying in 2017. I used to suffer from chronic headaches, and found out for myself the benefits of massage in easing the muscles and treating trigger points in my neck and consequently offering relief from my headaches. I started out offering relaxation/holistic massage, but have also completed training in clinical massage and work with people with chronic pain – especially neck pain and headaches. So whether you are in need of a little ‘me time’, you are stressed, you have tired aching muscles or you have a more specific problem, I look forward to meeting you!
When I’m not at my massage table I am a keen walker and can often be found hiking nearby with my Border Terrier or tucked up in my craft room.
I am also a member of the CTha (Complementary Therapists Association)
Rich trained as a Sports Massage Therapist at Peter Symonds College in Winchester following redundancy in 2015. A number of running injuries, including a broken leg in his first half marathon followed by breaking a metatarsal twice, fostered Rich's interest in sports injury. Rich's first love was mountain biking having completed challenges such as the off road London to Brighton on a Single Speed and the South Downs Way in a day. Over the last few years running has played a bigger part with Rich competing for Fleet & Crookham AC, normally Cross Country but with some longer distance starting to creep in too. Rich recently went to Massage school in Chiang Mai to study Thai massage for two weeks. A VTCT Level 4 Sports Massage therapist and SMA member (Sports Massage Association) Rich also offers Deep Tissue, Hot Stones Massage
